One Big Skin Sin

June 8th, 2011

An under $6.00 solution.

One of the demands of my job is answering questions for my dear friends. What sunscreen works best? My thoughts on Botox? How do I get rid of dark spots? What really helps smooth wrinkles around the eyes? The list goes on and on. Obligingly, I recite handy tips from a recent feature or dish about the newest, latest and greatest products launching. But I always seem to end it with my trusty list of information I learned from Beauty 101.

On top of the list is: Wash your face every night before going to bed.

imageimageI am AMAZED at how many people go to bed without washing their face. Personally, I am so rigid about this, I wouldn't dream about sleeping with a dirty face. I truly can't remember the last time I didn't wash my face or remove my makeup before bedtime. Besides the possibility of getting a blemish from dirty skin, cosmetics can hold on to pollution---think of it like sleeping with a load of free radicals on your skin. This only contributes to cellular damage and early aging, need I say more. A 30-second cleanse at night is all that it takes to ensure clean skin and when your exhausted deep clean and unwind with Pond's Wet Cleansing Towelettes, Evening Soothe with Chamomile & White Tea. These gentle cloths even remove waterproof mascara. Pond's also has a new wake-up version called Wet Cleansing Towelettes, Morning Refresh with Citrus & Cucumber, which cleanses and exfoliates to help kick-start your morning glow.

The most insidious problems are the ones you don't pay attention to. Your skin will repent with a good washing every night, promise.
