It doesn’t have to be drinkable.

imageJuice does more than help you consume vitamins: it can make your skin radiate and glow. You never thought your morning glass of juice would constitute a skin care regimen. Here, an organic solution to get your skin in tip top shape.

So don't be surprised at how excited I sound about Juice Beauty.

These days organic claims can get diffused and seem unreal. After all, the FDA doesn't regulate it. To learn how organic and eco-friendly Juice Beauty really is, MBB went right to the top and interviewed Karen Behnke, founder of Juice Beauty- Kudos to Karen who has just been recognized as one of the Top 70 Eco-Leaders by Glamour magazine.

How organic is organic? All organic beauty products aren't exactly equal (take those companies that just stamp it on their label to be with the "in crowd)". Thankfully,Juice Beauty is bringing authenticity and high efficacy to organic.

imageBased in Southern California, Karen and her team use only the best organic ingredients and have whipped up a juice base concentrate to call their very own. Karen shared, "What sets us apart from the competitors is we are the only company that offers a 100% organic juice concentrate base; this allows every one product in the line to claim an 85 to 98% total organic content". This is an astounding percentage!

Karen shared these insightful tidbits:
-Water can't be 'deemed' organic; and therefore if it is in the base ingredient, chances are the product can't claim a high organic list. The most strict standard in the country, COPA (California Organic Products Act) does not recognize water as meeting any organic standard.
-Juice Beauty offers 'just in time manufacturing', therefore allowing a 2-year shelf life
-There are some things that you just can't get organic, like Fat soluble Vitamin C in its liquid vitamin form.
-80% of the Juice Beauty products are manufactured by solar power

imageJuice Beauty's claim to fame is the Green Apple Peel. When it launched in 2004, this product soared to the top and still ranks the best seller. Used weekly, Karen calls it "an instant wrinkle zapper"-I can attest to this! The Antioxidant Serum is considered the power product in the line and Karen says 'nothing is as rich and creamy as the Cleansing Milk"- she loves it!

Juice Beauty products contain NO parabens, pesticides, petroleum or butylenes glycol, sodium lauryl sulfates, no artificial dyes or synthetic fragrances and no phthalates. Sure beats those imitation brands!
