A Dose Of D And There You Glow

February 16th, 2011

Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Glow Pad.

imageWe love his original Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel, now Dr. Gross gives us another reason to fall in love all over again.

Vitamin D is good for the skin, but scoring a safe tan is not.

"Vitamin D has been shown to release preformed melanin in the skin, which the body always keeps in reserve to protect you from sun," says Dr. Gross, of the pigment that colors skin.

"That's why even just using Vitamin D in and of itself will give skin a glow," adds Gross.

This April (but you can pre-order it now), Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare is launching Alpha Beta Glow, an Anti-Aging Exfoliating Self-Tanner with Active Vitamin D. This pad boasts a dose of Vitamin D along with Soy Protein to drive the tanning pigments deeper into the skin leaving your skin radiant looking, longer. The AHAs- as always- work hard to exfoliate dry, dull skin and minimize dark spots.

The pad doesn't allow streaking, nor does it have an offensive smell, thanks to its microencapsulated DHA.

Personally, I also am thrilled to learn its vegan and paraben-free formula.

Insider tip: Use the pads in the AM and show off your glowing skin. And the BEST results come if you use it right after the two step Extra strength peel. It produces a glow unlike any other!

Application tip: For a sun-kissed look, it's recommended you pass the pad over one to two times; for deeper results, stroke on several times, until the pad is dry. And don't forget the neck/decollete area.
