I just had to share that the name of this line sounds like something Fred would yell out in one of my favorite Flintstones episodes (it has that ring to it), but it isn't, this is a serious skin care line that performs. No doubt about it Tokyo's skin care market is a growing beauty destination with superior innovation. Who would disagree, just take one look at the Japanese woman's porcelain skin and there is your proof.

I was very intrigued when I learned about this line, because Tokyo is always on my radar as the place to look for beauty trends in formulas, ingredients and product tools. I've traveled to France to scope out new product trends, but always yearned to do so in Tokyo--- never quite made it that far.

So, here is what you should know. Hada Labo is one of the fastest growing mass brands in Japan. This line of skin care products comes packed with a proprietor blend of Super Hyaluronic Acid, which all you need to know is it helps plump skin. The star product, Replenishing Hydrator, is sold every 2 seconds in Japan! Now that's pretty amazing. I've given it a try and I was a little skeptical at first, because it is very liquid, it is also known as a "liquid lotion" (be on the lookout for more products fitting this texture). It feels a little tacky at first, but this cool water-like consistency quickly melts into the skin. I think of it as a serum, but other women who have oily skin might find this as a nice alternative to their heavy creams. It is just as hydrating, but for my mature skin, I would use it as an extra layer of hydration before I apply the moisturizer, which would be Skin Plumping Gel Cream. The texture on this product is thicker, still gel-like but feels as though it is mixed with a cream giving it more substance. Together these products work magic on the skin creating a youthful, radiant complexion.

Remember this line the next time someone should ask what the next BIG thing in skin care is and just say "liquid lotions from Japan" and tell them you heard about it here.

I am so impressed, and the price points are just as impressive. Check out the entire line that is launching now at Ulta.com.
