A Liquid Facial vs. Olay Regnerist Wrinkle Revolution Complex

July 27th, 2011

Eve Marx shares her experience.

imageA couple of weeks ago, a doctor associated with a med spa suggested I be a candidate for a "liquid facelift." In case you're in the dark about this procedure, the "liquid facelift" is essentially a Botox treatment where multiple injections are applied at once to several different areas of the face. Jill Zarin of Bravo TV's "The Real Housewives of New York City" fame recently underwent it on air in the office of her dermatologist, Dr. Patricia Wexler. When the medic spa doctor suggested I do it, I declined, because Botox and Restylane (for the "liquid facelift" some doctors inject a combination of both) are just not my idea of a good time.

Which is not to say I don't have wrinkles, because I do, the worst ones creasing (and aging) my forehead. Which is why I chose to give a new Olay product, Regenerist Wrinkle Revolution Complex a shot, just to see what would happen.

The package information says even deep eye wrinkles are reduced in 14 days. I will say the action has been a lot faster on my forehead. After smoothing on the moisturizer twice a day after cleansing, I saw real improvement in 10 days. The formula, if you care about the details, includes advanced biopeptides and B3 complex, as well as Vitamin E and green tea. As always, all Olay products are dermatologically tested and non-comedogenic. Olay recommends using Wrinkle Revolution Complex in concert with Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum for a smooth, all over look. I just used whatever eye cream was already in the house. The cream, and it is a cream, not a serum, goes on nice and silky, and the packaging is unique in that it's a jar with a self-regulating central pump which makes it very clean and non-spillable, and ideal for traveling. I'm about to pack it into my suitcase to take along on vacation.

By the time I get back home, I expect my forehead will be as clear and unlined and untroubled as a newborn's.
