Ready-To-Board Beauty

June 6th, 2007

Beauty carry-on’s new look.

School is coming to an end, vacations are set and bags are packed for summer holiday.

imageYour vacation just wouldn't be the same if your favorite fragrance or hair styling aid was taken from Airport Security. Bottles of liquids, gels and creams that weigh in at more than 3 oz.(100ml) are restricted as carry-on and permitted products have to fit into a transparent bag no larger than 1 quart or 8 inches X 7.5 inches. TSA's new regulations inspired beauty companies to introduce kits that comply with the 3-1-1 rules- see below for a quick update.

Be a savvy jet setter and take the torment out of traveling with these check-in beauties. These in-flight fancies might entice you even if you aren't high in the sky.

TSA's latest regulations as of today's posting:
3-1-1 for carry-ons = 3 ounce bottle or less (in original package); 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger.

Remember this is for short trips; if in doubt, check it with luggage. And restrict bag to a comfortable amount; if it is overflowing they will remove it. Unfortunately, water is still not permitted as a carry-on.
