First Blush

February 25th, 2009

Spring’s natural flush.

Spring is definitely not in the air; however, I'm beginning to get the itch to show my toes, lighten up the gear and add pretty pinks to my makeup palette.

imageThe Look: Borrowed from the Spring Runway, Anna Sui's beauty look showed a flushed color on cheeks. It radiated freshness and youth. Pat McGrath, P&G's global creative design director, prettied up the cheeks using sheer washes of rose.

imageThe Product: I am loving Trish McEvoy's New Liquid Face Color to epitomize this runway to real life look.

What it does: Gives the look of optimum health that is long-lasting and ultra-natural in color.

How to apply: The click-brush applicator allows you to easily release product. Use the brush to apply directly to the apples of the cheeks. For better blendability, release the product onto the back of your hand and dab the ring finger in it then apply to the skin.

imageWhy I love it: This pink sheer offers see-thru color allowing the skin to radiate naturally. It is 'moveable' and easily blendable leaving a glow- not like other stains that dry before you have time to rub it in expertly.

Trish McEvoy New Liquid Face Color, $32. Available at Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, select Nordstrom and Henri Bendel's, NYC.
