Make a Splash with Marc Jacobs

May 4th, 2011

Feel the warmth from a spritz.

I am still not feeling the warmth these days, so I decided to direct my feature to scents that can warm up the soul and mind as we "hope" for the arrival of spring's summer's fierce sun.

Light, water-based fragrances are key for hot summer nights. Marc Jacobs newly launched limited edition trios of tropical-themed body splashes in Ginger, Curacao, and Cranberry is the collection to take you away until summer make's its presence.

In the past years, Marc has taken inspiration from vegetables, herbs and weather (i.e. Cucumber, Basil and Rain) to create his reputable seasonal line. This year he has turned to the summer's sun and sipping tropical beverages poolside to create his newest collection of splashes. And who can blame him for a taste of the tropics when we are all just sick of rain, cold or anything not related to signs of summer.

The zesty, spicy Ginger adds a nice twist to the collection, while Curacao, a bit more masculine, features notes of blood lime, mandarin, and violet. And Cranberry, a pleasant reminder of all good things, especially as it mingles in a summer's cocktail, warms the skin in freshness.

And since Cranberry happens to be my most favorite, well Curacao is too, but I already gave that one to my husband, I am giving ONE away to a lucky reader!

Good luck.
