May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month and; unfortunately, there has been a dramatic increase in melanoma especially among teens. Topics like this are crucial to discuss with your teens and help deflate in their minds that a tan- whether in a tanning booth or naturally from the sun- is just not good!
Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 9th there will be an RV parked in front of the Lincoln Center with top NYC-based dermatologists to provide free skin cancer screenings and hand out sunscreen samples. This is part of Aveeno's Skin Cancer Foundation's Road to Healthy Skin Tour.

The Skin Cancer Foundation's Road to Healthy Skin Tour, presented by AVEENO and Rite Aid, is touring the country to raise skin cancer awareness. Since the Tour's start, more than 13,000 people have been screened and 239 suspected cases of melanoma have been detected.
