New for 2013!
January 2nd, 2013
Love hitting the stores this time of year.
On any given day, you can find me walking down the aisles of CVS/pharmacy- especially the last week of December. This is one of the biggest launch times for new products. Just looking around you can get a feel of what the new innovations will be be for the first part of the year. Here's a quick look at some great new launches happening right now.
Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lipcolor proves that technology is colorful! This line of bright pinks, reds, corals and plums uses innovative, neon-coated pigments that impart intense hues that stay put for up to four hours. And I love that honey nectar keeps lips smooth and soothes dry lips while not sacrificing beauty. If the color is too vivid you might like Maybelline Color Whisper , which is a definite hit for me. It takes tinted lip balms to a whole new level. Its gel-cream technology offers lightweight color in 20-shades.
And Instant Age Rewind The Lifter offers a built-in primer that gives skin a flawless look. Can't wait to try this, the product alone looks nourishing.
If you woke up and are still in a blur from post-holiday madness, this product is right for you. L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Miracle Blur is a colorless, gel-like cream that's the next best thing to having your very own airbrusher, since it blurs away large pores, lines and unevenness. The cushiony texture creates a beautiful, velvet-soft matte finish that lets you skip additional makeup, or grants you the perfect canvas to apply your favorite foundation or concealer. L'Oreal is also launching new nail polish shades, concealer pens and eye shadow palettes.
Garnier's NEW Olia has another at-home option that is ammonia-free. Olia is designed to provide “maximum color performance” while remaining extremely gentle, and restore hair's health. Also, Olia is oil-based rather than water-based, hair fibers are coated with color more effectively, color will be brighter and more vivid.
And, I had to mention CVS's special line, Salma Hayek's Nuance, which has added a 30-shade nail polish collection to her growing beauty brand. I heard that the actress created the polish with her daughter Valentina in mind, who she says is "obsessed with colors." The chip-free top and base coat contain borage seed oil and bamboo extract, both of which work to hydrate nail beds, encourage growth, and strengthen weak nails. And the price is oh so right at $5.99 a bottle.
Revlon, CoverGirl don't get jealous... I'll be sure to feature you in the next "What's Hot in 2013!"
Stay tuned for much, much more!
