A French-worthy line.
While in the South of France this summer, I noticed a line called Melvita, which had a more organic/natural twist to its package and formulation. Ironically, when I returned to the States, I was invited to meet the Marketing Team who was in town to promote the brand here in the US.
Founded by Bernard Chevilliat, who is a lover of all things nature, a beekeeper, and biologist, Melvita is inspired by the French harvest of the season, honey and nature. I was very impressed with the line and its offerings and thought I would share some highlights.
The Beauty Oils are well-loved by the French and adapted into their daily skin care routine. They are natural and because of this absorb easily and quickly into the skin leaving it well-nourished and moisturized. A best-seller is the Argan Oil, which is rich in Vitamin E along with other favorites like Rose Hip Oil, Evening Primrose, Calendula, but please click here as the array of oils in the line are the most I've ever seen for a beauty company.
Next on the list are the Floral Waters- similar to a Toning Mist- which refresh the skin all year long. These waters are distilled from fresh or dried plants and flowers that help retain the healing benefits and aromatic qualities of the natural ingredients. I love misting my skin mid-day and keep them close in the refrigerator, because with a heated office a little coolness wakes up the skin. Rose Water Floral is the bestseller in this range and currently out of stock on line.
My personal favorite are the Extraordinary Waters. These skin boosters are loaded with hyaluronic acid, which offers amazing hydration. It has a very interesting gel-texture, which I like because it doesn't make it 'runny' or too liquid. I apply it right after my serum, let it absorb into my skin then apply my moisturizer. Orange Blossom is the best-seller, but my favorite is the Rose (for anti-aging and rejuvenation) and Narcissus (for brightening).
Lastly, Naturalift Youthful Skin Cream, is considered a 'facelift' in a bottle. This youth-restoring cream softens lines and wrinkles and has an immediate smoothing effect on the skin. They include highly moisturizing extract of wild Beech Buds, rich in flavonoids and polyphenols.
Overall, I am very impressed with this line and my skin has been benefiting from me dabbling into various products for reviews. I particularly love the natural, organic stance it takes and Melvita was one of the first companies in the world to earn the ECOCERT certificate (#1 organic certified brand in France) for organic products.
I just noticed some products are featured on Beauty.com, which would make purchasing products easier.
The line is vast, but if I were to start somewhere, I would definitely begin with the Extraordinary Waters and Beauty Oils as this makes a strong connection to the French woman's beautiful skin.
