A Forbidden Handshake…

Thankfully, an instant solution.

imageOn Monday, I delve in and cleaned my screen porch. It's a job I dread doing, usually put it off to the last minute or purposely host an evening of friends getting together for cocktails enjoying the approaching summer air--- protected from bugs. This normally puts a match under my booty to get moving and clean away all the dust, pollen and dead insects from the passed year. It takes a toll on my eyes, wreaks havoc on my skin and just is bloody tedious.

Yesterday, I noticed the inside of my right hand was peeling, gross and dry. My left hand totally fine, so I realized my skin had a reaction to the cleaning products. I needed an immediate solution, since the first thing that came to mind was my appearance at tomorrow's Cosmetic Executive Award ceremony, meeting and greeting many top executives in the beauty field- thereby shaking hands. This would be a major NO; especially when I preach on how to get rid of dry skin, sticking my hand out that looks like it just underwent a chemical peel would scare anyone away and besides ruin my credentials.

I immediately exfoliated my hand with Fresh's Brown Sugar Body Polish, once in the morning and again last night. But I think the real skin-saver was Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream, thankfully I had it in the house. It's a glycerin-based cream is enriched with vitamin E, vitamin B2, and camphor. It has a uniquely high glycerin content and targeted to smooth rough, dry patches on hands, elbows, knees, and feet. The label says it "softens and reduces tough calluses, including hard, cracked heels, and helps heal and prevent split cuticles. It replenishes lost moisture from water damage or frequent hand washing, helps heal and minimize scarring from burns, and protects skin exposed to cold, wind, and water"

This was exactly what I needed and applied a generous amount on in the morning and last night before I went to bed, right after exfoliating for a second time.

AMAZING, this morning my hand looks normal, no peeling whatsoever! I can reach out and shake with confidence. Whew!

As far as my screen porch... it's CLEAN and has become my new office.
